"壇島珈啡餅店 Honolulu Coffee Shop" is a Hong Kong style cafe which is famous for the yummy breads.
I went to Central branch before.
Surprisingly, there are various kinds dishes in the menu.
It is not only bread.
凍檸茶(Ice tea with lemon).
熱奶茶(Tea with milk).
西多士(French toast).
Sorry!
I forgot the name.
"焼味 something", maybe...
公司三文治(Clubhouse sandwiches).
The staffs are almost middle-aged guys.
A kind staff said to me "加油!", cause he understood we are Japanese.
The meaning is "Cheer up!" in Chinese.
He continued same phrase over and over again.
He also said something.
However, unfortunately, I couldn't understand what he said.
Cause I couldn't understand Chinese.
He also didn't speak English.
Then, he wrote down something with Chinese character on the small notebook.
"中国人、心、痛、日本、地震”
I could guess it cause, we luckily used almost same character.
I guess it means "Chinese also worry about Japan and Japanese very much for the huge earthquake."
Then, he grips his both hands hard by himself.
He also said "We are friends(朋友)" with smile.
I was almost cried at that time.
I just only continued "thank you so much".
I will never forget the beautiful pronunciation, "朋友、péngyou"...
