Kiyomizu-dera 清水寺 @ Kyoto

Summer vacation will come soon.
You know, Kyoto is one of the oldest and most famous Asian metropolises.
Actually, a large number of tourists come from all over the world every year.
One of my Chinese friends couple came from US. 2 years ago
Then, I'd like to write my some memory for someone to go there.

Kiyomizu-dera(清水寺) is one of the most famous independent Buddhist temple in eastern Kyoto.
It was registered with the World Cultural Heritage as "Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto" in December, 1994.
The popular expression "清水の舞台から飛び降りるつもりで(= to jump off the stage at Kiyomizu)" is the Japanese equivalent of the English expression "to take the plunge".

This is it!

From the stage at Kiyomizu

Such peaceful scenery can be seen.

Um?
What is that?
Approach it.

"音羽の滝(Otowa no taki)" is a kind of power spot in Kiyomizu-dera.
Three waterfalls is said as "Learning" and "love" "long life".
If you choose one and drink it, your wish will come true.
Remember you must choose one.
Never drink all of three!

The antibacterial properties and cleanliness are always maintained for the ladle.

If you want to, you can bring back to your home as free.

The precincts are huge.

Such a big bell!

As a Mie tower, the tower is a greatest height of 31 meters in Japan.
It's a symbol of Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto Higashiyama.

These are painted in red.

Sister?

There are many wishes.

A offering box.

You wanna try it?
