Cathay Pacific kindly sent us an email the day before our departure.
The message was as below.

Due to holiday peak travel, passengers booked on CX715/22Dec are advised to arrive at the Hong Kong International airport at least 3 hours prior to departure to avoid congestion and delays for check-in, security and immigration formalities. Thank you for your co-operation.

However, we'd known the flight came out behind time for 1 hour when we arrived at the airport.
Though, fortunately, our arrival was just 1.5 hours before the original departure time, cause we had Frequent Visitor Card.
Naturally, the contents are the same even if you look at the Chinese version.
