A walk to Kamakura.

I went for a walk to Kamakura the other day.

Kamakura is famous for the Great Buddha.

This is it.
Let's go close!

More close!

More!

Wow!
Too close!

Other angle are also good.

You can enter the inside of the Great Buddha with little bit extra money.

The inside of the Great Buddha.

Just a kind of big cave?
I was a little disappointed.

Buddha's Slippers are also specially large.
They are handmade sandals sent by children.

There is also a famous poet, Akiko Yosano's monument in precincts.
It is written like that.
"Dear Kamakura,
The Great Buddha is handsome though he isn't human being.
One day in summer, I just thought it."
Was Akiko unexpectedly an ordinary lady?
fufufu......

The stone statue of Jizo wears an impressive orange kesa.
You can buy an Omamori, a Japanese amulet.
There are a lot of kinds of Omamori.

This is a souvenir shop in precincts.

You can buy your "Great" Buddha.

Various souvenirs are sold.

Thank you the Great Buddha!
I really enjoyed.

Some disclaimers are written in the signboard.
What is it?

Oh!
It says that " Please note the kite when you eat in premises."
