Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine

Another popular sightseeing spot in Kamakura is Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.

This red ohtorii is a landmark.

Many people are always visiting the shrine.

It is written, "Hachimangu shrine" in Japanese.
It is a very venerable Shinto shrine was built by Minamoto no Yoritomo, who was the founder and the first shogun of the Kamakura Shogunate of Japan.

A lot of Ema are dedicated to precincts.

There were a lot of wishes.
For example, " I wish I pass the university.", "I wish I marry soon!" and so on.

The amulet counter is crowded.

This is Omikuji counter.
The fortunes of this year is written in the piece of paper.

I also picked one.
It was "kichi(=Blessing)".
Not so bad.

There is a custom of connecting the omikuji after pulling it with the tree branch in precincts.

Let's take a rest after walking and becoming tired.

You can enjoy Amazake (= the sweet beverage made from fermented rice or sake less).

The candy apple invites our nostalgia.
