Yūki-tsumugi town

The other day, we visited the town with such a retro signboard.

Red torii is impressive.

Yūki is located in the western part in Ibaraki Prefecture.
There is nationally famous Yuki Tsumugi as a traditional textile industry.
Yuki Tsumugi was registered into the intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO on November 16, 2010.
"紬の里(=TSUMUGI-NO-SATO)" is a kind of experience center which can enjoy weave and indigo dyeing.

Go into!

Kula is to a right hand.

The green of a courtyard is so fresh.

Workshops are held here.

It seems that there are many exhibits.

Unfortunately, our arrival was too late to see it.
Next time!

You can take a rest in such a comfortable place.

A gift shop is also.

Quiet and beautiful place.

"見世蔵(=Misegura)" still remains in Yūki.
Misegura is what is a kind of the style of the merchant's house developed after the Edo period, and applied the technology of Kura.
Unlike Kura aiming at storage of goods etc., Misegura is built for the purpose of using as a store and residence.
It differs in how to make a void, or room arrangement and interior.

There are some interesting patterns.
